Cat has worked within the prison service for the past 8 years as an Advanced Substance Misuse Practitioner. Her specialities centre around working with clients with a history of substance misuse, brain injury, and other neuro diversities as well as young offenders. Within this role, Cat was the rehabilitation lead with a passion for securing funding and rehabilitation placements for her clients, particularly those with complex needs due to their injury, complex offence history and other dual diagnosis.

Prior to this she gained a Master's degree in Cognitive Neuroscience where her final project from the University of York surrounding the N400 effect contributed to published works in Psychonomic Bulletin & Review in 2014, and a Bachelor's degree with Honors in Criminology.

She has worked as a rehabilitation worker within a specialist neurorehabilitation hospital, in addition to experience working within a specialist hospital for patients requiring medium secure care and working as an outreach worker for people with learning disabilities and mental health support needs.

Cat is dedicated to advocate and encourage her clients to have a voice throughout their recovery whilst utilising her experience of safeguarding, counselling skills and motivational interviewing to ensure she provides tailored support.
