Sue Cassidy - Director

Sue Cassidy - Director

Sue is the owner / Director of UK Case Management Ltd (UKCM), she qualified as a Registered Mental Nurse (RMN) in 1996 and has over 20 years’ experience of working in the field of neurological rehabilitation. She has worked extensively with clients who have a variety of neurological conditions, including acquired brain injury, specialising in the rehabilitation of clients with challenging behaviours and managing a local secure hospital for 8 years. Sue also worked with one of the largest case management services in the UK specialising in brain and spinal injury, at senior management level.

Sue set up UK Case Management Ltd in 2008 and remains responsible for the developmental and operational aspects of the company. She remains passionate in providing a service of the highest quality and standards.

Suzanne Froggett - Clinical Lead Case Manager

Suzanne Froggett - Clinical Lead Case Manager

Suzanne is the Clinical Lead Case Manager of UKCM, and bobath trained registered Physiotherapist specialising in neurology.

Before joining UK Case Management Suzanne worked in private practice for over 10 years treating adults with a wide range of neurological conditions, and particularly enjoys working with Stroke rehabilitation, Motor Neurone Disease, Traumatic Brain Injuries, Severe Complex Disabilities and Palliative care.

Suzanne creates positive professional relationships and implements plans to ensure the client receives carefully considered care and support for as long as is necessary, whilst empowering them to achieve their full potential and enhance their quality of life.

Prior to being a Physiotherapist Suzanne was a Trainer, Team manager and Project manager within the Financial Services industry involving people, process and procedural management adhering to financial services legislation.

Suzanne has extensive skills and knowledge of training carers, support workers, families and physiotherapy students from Leeds Beckett University having attained a Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS) qualification in 2013.

Suzanne is a member of The British Association of Brain injury and Complex Case Management (BABICM) and an active committee member and former chairperson of the Yorkshire Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Neurology (ACPIN), she has organised and attends numerous courses/lectures to further expand her knowledge and experience to provide evidence based treatment.

Andy Woodland - Consultant Case Manager

Andy Woodland - Consultant Case Manager

Andy is a Consultant Case Manager with UKCM. He is a Registered General Nurse (RN) with 33 years post registration experience.

Andy has a background of working in Accident and Emergency, Orthopaedic Injuries and Coronary Care. He worked in Prison health for many years and sought to highlight the incidence of undiagnosed acquired brain injury within the prison population.

Andy has worked extensively with clients who have a variety of challenging neurological conditions, including catastrophic injuries and acquired brain and spinal injury. He is committed to supporting clients improve their lives, he works with both pre-trial and post-trial clients.

Andy is a Member of the British Association of Brain Injury and Complex Case Management (BABICM).

Natalie Hodgson - Registered Manager / Service Manager

Natalie Hodgson - Registered Manager / Service Manager

Natalie joined UKCM in January 2018; initially as an Assistant Case Manager, having progressed to the role of Registered Manager / Service Manager in 2019.

Natalie has over 15 years experience working in the Health and Social Care industry and during this time, she has acquired an extensive knowledge and working experience of CQC regulations and requirements. She has been very proactive in our CQC registration application.

She has an extensive knowledge of services, equipment and therapies available to clients both within the private and statutory sector. Natalie is passionate about advocating for others to ensure they receive the highest standards of care and service possible.

Natalie is the UK Case Management appointed First Aider and Mental Health First Aider.

Viv Payne - Case Manager

Viv Payne - Case Manager

Viv is a State Registered Physiotherapist with almost 40 years’ experience working with children and young adults. This client group includes those with Cerebral Palsy, brain injuries, neurological conditions and syndromes.

Viv has worked in a variety of settings including client’s homes, hospitals, special and mainstream schools and a children’s hospice. Viv has always been part of the multi-disciplinary team, working towards child and client centred goals and has a wide range of knowledge of specialist equipment. She is able to problem solve, is enthusiastic and has excellent communication skills, encouraging team members to contribute to achieve the best possible outcomes for her clients. Viv works with both pre-trial and post-trial clients.

Viv is a Member of the British Association of Brain Injury and Complex Case Management (BABICM).

Jayne Hall - Case Manager

Jayne Hall - Case Manager

Jayne is a registered social worker and has worked within children’s safeguarding and the palliative care settings for 22 years.

Jayne is experienced in ‘assessment of need and risk’ and has vast experience of working with health, education and social care services within the community, providing advocacy and guidance as needs arise.

As a social worker for Macmillan Cancer Support and for a local hospice, Jayne has experience in supporting the whole family in their understanding of health and social care processes and in working with care planning and reviews to promote best outcomes.

Jayne enjoys any opportunity to support children and young people and has good knowledge of services available in the private and statutory sectors to promote physical and emotional wellness.

Jess Wise - Acting Case Manager

Jess Wise - Acting Case Manager

Jess joined UKCM as an Assistant Case Manager in January 2021, and has now become an Acting Case Manager.

Jess’ educational background is in psychology, and throughout her degree she focused her research on the impact of animal therapy on physiological stress responses.

Since leaving university, Jess has worked within the neuro-rehabilitation sector supporting clients living with acquired brain injuries and most recently developed and co-ordinated a befriending project for socially isolated and vulnerable elderly clients. Throughout this experience, Jess has developed and implemented various therapeutic strategies in order to support clients needs, whilst working in multi-disciplinary teams.

Jess has knowledge of both statutory and private support and has a real passion for helping those overcome adversity.

Nicola Sawyer-Roskell - Assistant Case Manager

Nicola Sawyer-Roskell - Assistant Case Manager

Nicola is the Assistant Case Manager at UKCM, having started in March 2022.

Nicola is an NMC Registered Adult Nurse who qualified 25 years ago and has since built up a wide range of experience in a number of different settings, including neonatal units, schools, clinics and in clients own homes and most recently in cancer research at the University of York.

Nicola has experience of working with adult patients who have suffered brain injuries and catastrophic injuries as well as babies who have suffered from birth injuries.

Since qualification, Nicola has also achieved a BSc in Nursing Practice and Public Health and has contributed to published works on the subject of recovery/rehabilitation from brain injury.

Alan Meyrick - Associate Case Manager

Alan Meyrick - Associate Case Manager

Alan qualified as an occupational therapist in 2006 with a first-class honours degree from the University of Plymouth. His studies have continued throughout his career and he is currently finishing his Masters degree and has a Post Graduate Diploma in advanced professional practice, as well as qualifications in 24-hour management of posture.

Alan initially worked for six years within the NHS working in a number of acute, rehabilitation and community settings, including trauma, orthopaedic, vascular, palliative care, elderly care, general medicine, and amputee rehabilitation.

Alan is very enthusiastic about amputee rehabilitation and has continued to work with amputees throughout his career. Alan moved to a private company where he spent seven years specialising in wheelchair, seating and posture, initially as a specialist therapist and latterly as clinical lead and led a team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and engineers. Alan then moved to another private company working in the same field but throughout the UK as the National Clinical Lead Occupational Therapist. Again managing Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and engineers as well as assistant and administration staff.
Alan also has experience as working as an independent occupational therapist where he completed specialist assessments and provided clinical advice in the areas of wheelchairs, seating and posture, amputee rehabilitation, elderly rehabilitation, acute services, and environmental adaptations.

During his career, as well as clinical skills, Alan has developed expertise in the management of teams within the private healthcare sector. Over numerous years Alan has undertaken supervision and management of complex casework that he himself managed and for which he supported other clinical and non-clinical staff. He has extensive experience in complaint resolution, development of joint working protocols between different statutory organisations, he was instrumental in the implementation of personal wheelchair budgets, working jointly with NHS England at the time and also had involvement in the development of standard operating procedures.

Wayne Dodd - Associate Case Manager

Wayne Dodd - Associate Case Manager

Wayne qualified as an OT in 2008 and has continued to develop his experience by completing post graduate courses in complex postural management and key training for manual handling.

Wayne specialises in 24/7 posture management, assessing and progressing people’s independence, rehabilitation and provision of equipment, care plans, minor and major adaptations within home environments.

Wayne currently works within Livewell’s Discharge to assess multi-disciplinary intermediate care team. Previous experience includes Regional Clinical Lead (OT) for ‘outsourced’ NHS wheelchair services, Moor 2 Sea multi-disciplinary intermediate care team, Clinical lead for Somerset Wheelchair Service. Wayne has also completed Band 5 rotation in Intermediate Care/Stroke/Neurological and Trauma Orthopaedic rehabilitation teams.

Wayne’s responsibilities included providing clinical advice and training to local CCG and statutory teams, recruiting, inducting, and training therapy teams, to assess people for complex postural, functional, and cognitive issues, and prescribe specialist seating and manual or powered wheelchairs.

Julie Paul - Finance Manager

Julie Paul - Finance Manager

Julie has worked for UK Case Management for over 9 years and is the Finance Manager. She has extensive experience in all aspects of finance, administration and payroll having worked for 5 different banks and building societies and held a number of financial positions in a variety of companies. Her diligence and attention to detail ensure that all aspects of her role are completed efficiently.

Maria Worby - Associate PA / Admin Support

Maria Worby - Associate PA / Admin Support

Maria joined UK Case Management as Associate PA / Admin Support in December 2021 bringing over 25 years experience in administration from a variety of industries and positions.

Maria’s qualifications include CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in Human Resource Practice and NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Business Administration.

Paul Marks - Operations Co-ordinator

Paul Marks - Operations Co-ordinator

Paul has worked for UK Case Management for over 12 years. He has developed the company IT infrastructure from our first single PC and Printer, through to our first server, and more recently our transition to cloud computing.

Paul loves to find new and innovative ways to use advances in technology to streamline our business, helping both our colleagues, support teams and clients work more easily and effectively.

Keith Balfour - Operations Support Assistant

Keith Balfour - Operations Support Assistant

Keith works part time for UK Case Management as he embarks on a new journey retraining to become a Registered Mental Health Nurse.

His background is predominantly in University Sport as a senior sports manager, responsible for facility management, staff training and the marketing and branding of the University sports and fitness facilities. He brings these skills and experiences with him to support UK Case Management’s online presence.

Keith previously worked for the Destination Management Organisation for Yorkshire – Welcome to Yorkshire – as Regional Account Manager for businesses across the Yorkshire Dales, Hambleton, Craven, Richmondshire and Redcar & Cleveland districts.
