To give you some back-story, Laptops for Kids is a charitable organisation facilitating the donation and repurposing of used digital devices. Working to ensure that no child falls behind with their education.
In support of this, last month we dug out some old computers and wiped them ready for donation.
On Sunday 24th January one of these computers made it’s way to a boy called Henry. Henry’s mum wrote back to us and said “Henry couldn’t believe his eyes last night. He was smiling, giggling saying oh wow over and over. He told me last night how lucky he was.”
Henry’s mum Catherine went on to say “He never asks for anything. I honestly can’t thank you enough. Such kindness is rare these days. What a relief today that he can just log on and work!…”
We’re relieved too Catherine, and it was a pleasure to support you. We all hope Henry is able to enjoy remote-learning now and feel connected with his peers and teachers!
We will shortly be donating more devices to Laptop for Kids in order to benefit more children with their remote learning.
